On the contrary, through a good understanding of the rites and prayers they should take part in the sacred action, conscious of what they are doing, with devotion and full collaboration. … They should give thanks to God. Offering the immaculate victim, not only through the hands of the priest but also together with him, they should learn to offer themselves (SC 48)"

“ The Eucharist is Christ who gives himself to us and continually builds us up as his body the church receives and at the same time expresses what she herself in the seven sacraments ”

“ Man is created for that true and eternal happiness which only god’s love can give ”

“ Jesus is the true paschal lamb who freely give himself in sacrifice for us and thus brought about the new and eternal covenant ”(SC 9).
